Celebrity Circus on iTunes Essentials: Modern Prog - August 4, 2006
It has just come to our attention ( somewhat belatedly) that "Celebrity Circus" from the "LAYERS" CD has been included on the iTunes Essentials compilation "Modern Prog" along with such luminaries as Salem Hill, Porcupine Tree, Frogg Cafe and Glass Hammer! Quite an honor to be featured with bands like these. Wait till they hear "Elements"!
I took a side trip to Nome, Alaska last week to see how climate change is working out for the folks snug up against the Arctic Circle. Got some great snaps for the new CD cover. Brian has finished almost all of his bass parts and declares the CD "the best so far" assuming correctly there will be more. If I can keep myself from wandering any more it should be done in late September and pressed for release in October. Halloween maybe?

New CD On the Way! - June 23, 2006
Hi All,
My new CD titled "Elements" is about 80% finished. I am looking for a September release if I can finish the rather extensive booklet I have in mind for the packaging by then.
All the songs are written and recorded although most have a few more parts to go. I enlisted Don Freeborn to play real drums on this one and the tracks have come out nicely. They provide an added sense of drama to the proceedings. Brian Phraner is on bass and harmony vocals, of course. Bruce Jones will be appearing again. But the big news is that I have turned over the lead vocal chores to two killer singers, Mark Phraner and Freddy Krumins, Mark for the gentler stuff and Freddy for the more aggressive. That leaves me with the easy stuff: writing, producing, engineering, playing guitar and keys, backing vocals, mixing, mastering and the cover design & photography. Whew, that's a relief!
This one is easily the best yet. I will keep you posted on release dates here or if you want to be on the mailing list just go to the guestbook and sign in.
Thanks for your support.

Layers Turns Seven (Months, That Is) - October 12, 2005
Seven months after releasing Layers sales are moving along briskly. I find I like it more as time goes by, one of the reviews said that it grows on you and I think it's true. I have had the kind, and sometimes not so kind, attention of several reviewers and I really appreciate the press. Being a solo artist I need other peoples perspectives. Thanks everybody!
I am currently occupied with rerecording some parts on TRACKS, my first solo CD, in preparation for it's second pressing. Yes the first one is almost sold out!
I have also started recording number 3, still untitled, so stay tuned. Thanks to all who have bought either of the first two, reviewed them or given me airplay on the radio, it's been great. Oh well, it's back to the studio for me!
